Or you can jump right in and place your own (free) profile ad.

Reader Matches has lots of cool features, such as flirting, organizing favorites, organizing messages, revising your page, and more.
You can browse ads by categories (e.g., all ads from women seeking men.) You can do a quick search by gender preference and age. You can also do a very specific full search (including keywords) by clicking on the search button on the top navigation bar. To see a gallery of the most recent new photos of members click on New Photos .
I Saw You now lets you search for yourself.
You can post up to five photos. To see someone's extra photos, just click on see more photos and view their slide show. If they have recorded a voice greeting, the hear my voice will be in bold type. Click to hear...it's free.
It's even free to place your own Matches ads--a regular profile ad and/or I Saw You ads. If someone initiates contact with you (either an email or a voice response) it's free to respond.
When you find someone with whom you would like to initiate contact, that's when you need to become a paid member. Click the Join button on the top navigation bar to learn about paid membership options. (It's cheap!)

Selected advertisers on the online Matches system will receive a free ad in the print edition of Chicago Reader. People who see your ad in the paper can respond via the web or telephone.
Your online headline and text are shown below. You will probably want to modify them to include information about your education, occupation, looks, ethnicity, etc. because, except for your age and username, the selections you made for your web profile wonít be transferred to the print ad. You can also start from scratch and compose a completely new ad for print.

As a member, you may create your own Personal Profile Page, including your online headline, online text ad, newspaper headline and newspaper text ad, and you may uploaded photographs and answer profile and essay questions. Paid members may initiate email communication or voice message contact with other members. Unpaid members may not initiate email communication or voice messages, but may respond to emails and voicemails sent by a paid member. Paid membership can be for a certain length of time (one day, seven days, thirty days or ninety days) or it can be transaction-based (purchase of transactional "stamps.")
The registration process is available online by clicking on the appropriate links. During the registration process, you create your "username" and password and provide certain information, such as your first and last name, city of residence, zip code, email address, birth date and gender ("Profile Information"). Profile Information is further described in, and handled by SelectAlternatives in accordance with, the SelectAlternatives.com Privacy Policy. To view the Privacy Policy, please click the Privacy Policy link in the bottom navigation bar at the bottom of this page. The only Profile Information that is available for viewing by users and other members of SelectAlternatives.com is your username, age in years, city of residence and gender.
Introductions
Users and members can browse Personal Profile Pages and conduct searches. Once a paid member sees another member's Personal Profile Page that is of interest, the paid member may initiate email contact via SelectAlternatives.com's private, internal email system or leave a voicemail, via the instructions provided on SelectAlternatives.com. That email message can be accessed and read by the recipient when on SelectAlternatives.com by going to "My Account" and following the appropriate links (voicemail messages may be accessed and responded to in accordance with the instructions provided on SelectAlternatives.com). As a member (whether paid or unpaid), you have access to a private area of SelectAlternatives.com where you may read and send email messages, listen to voice responses, edit your Personal Profile Page and perform other administrative functions.
Ownership of Site and Use of Content
You acknowledge that this website contain designs, information, communications, software, photos, text, video, graphics, music, sounds, images and other material and services (collectively "Content"), which is owned exclusively by SelectAlternatives or its licensors. If any provision of this Agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. This is the entire Agreement between the parties relating to the subject matter herein and shall not be modified except as provided herein.
